An ordinance authorizing the acquisition the purchase of an agricultural easement on land known as the Suydam Farm located on Skillman Lane (Block 85, Lots 62.01 and Block 57.01, Lot 32.01 and the 3.858 acres of Lot 61 that was granted minor subdivision approval by the Franklin Township Planning Board in Docket #PLN-07-00027) and the sale of said easement to the State Agricultural Development Committee.

SUMMARY
An ordinance amending the Traffic Ordinance to add the following Turn Prohibitions: Route 27 and Holland Drive; Easton Avenue and Frontage Road (Curb opening on western curb-line 380’ south of the south curb-line of Foxwood); Cedar Grove Lane (Driveway of #152); Easton Avenue (Exit of Driveway #1714) and Elizabeth Avenue (Exit Driveway from Shop Rite located 150 feet south of Happer Street) and to add 283 Park Street as an on-street handicapped parking space.

An ordinance amending Chapter 62, Salaries and Compensation, Section 62-4, Annual Compensation for Managerial and Exempt employees and annual longevity payment for blue-collar supervisors, ceasing annual longevity payment for blue-collar supervisors, effective July 1, 2008 with a longevity phase out payment for foreman hired prior to July 1, 2008.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, ARTICLE XXVIA, RETAIL OVERLAY DISTRICT, SECTION 112-206.2, PERMITTED USES AND STANDARDS; SCHEDULE 2, LOT AND YARD REQUIREMENTS AND SCHEDULE 3, HEIGHT, COVERAGE AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS.
This ordinance also amends Article XXVIA of Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to make the design standards contained therein applicable to all commercial development, whereas currently these standards are only applicable to commercial development in the Retail Overlay District. The ordinance also amends the bulk requirements of the Retail Overlay District so as to make it consistent with the bulk requirements of the General Business District.
