PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held on January 22, 2008:
ORDINANCE NO. 3731
AN ORDINANCE TO ACQUIRE BY PURCHASE AN AGRICULTURAL EASEMENT IN CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY FOR FARM PRESERVATION PURPOSES AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALE OF SAID EASEMENT TO THE STATE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
An ordinance authorizing the acquisition the purchase of an agricultural easement on land known as the Suydam Farm located on Skillman Lane (Block 85, Lots 62.01 and Block 57.01, Lot 32.01 and the 3.858 acres of Lot 61 that was granted minor subdivision approval by the Franklin Township Planning Board in Docket #PLN-07-00027) and the sale of said easement to the State Agricultural Development Committee.

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on January 22, 2008. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on February 26, 2008 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 226 - VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, SECTION 226-13, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS – LAKESIDE ROAD.
An ordinance amending the Traffic Ordinance, specifically, Section 226-13, Parking Prohibited at all times on certain streets with the addition of Lakeside Road: south side from Easton Avenue to end and north side from First Street to end.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY, CHAPTER 151, HOUSING STANDARDS, SECTION 151-7 – FEES, BY INCREASING RE-OCCUPANCY INSPECTIONS TO $75.00 AND $50.00 PER BUILDING FOR COMMON AREAS.
An ordinance amending Code Chapter 151, Housing Standards, Section 151-7, Fees, with an increase of Re-occupancy inspections to $75.00 and $50.00 per building for common areas.

ORDINANCE NO. 3740
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, REGARDING THE INSTITUTIONAL/ PUBLIC ZONING DISTRICT.
This ordinance amends Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to add low- and moderate-income housing as a permitted use in the I-P (Institutional/ Public) zoning district, to provide bulk requirements for low- and moderate-income housing within the district and to rezone Block 146 and a portion of Block 148 from the R-7 district to the I-P district.
