ORDINANCE NO. 3732
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 226 - VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, SECTION 226-22, TURN PROHIBITIONS AND SECTION 226-30, HANDICAPPED PARKING.
SUMMARY
An ordinance amending the Traffic Ordinance to add the following Turn Prohibitions: Route 27 and Holland Drive; Easton Avenue and Frontage Road (Curb opening on western curb-line 380’ south of the south curb-line of Foxwood); Cedar Grove Lane (Driveway of #152); Easton Avenue (Exit of Driveway #1714) and Elizabeth Avenue (Exit Driveway from Shop Rite located 150 feet south of Happer Street) and to add 283 Park Street as an on-street handicapped parking space.

An ordinance amending Chapter 236, Municipal Services, Section 236-4, Schedule A by adding qualified streets, qualified street lighting poles and conditionally qualified street lighting poles for Somerset Run Condominium Association Inc.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A LEASE AMENDMENT FOR CERTAIN PREMISES OWNED BY TRAP ROCK INDUSTRIES, INCORPORATED TO THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, IN THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF COMMUNICATIONS ANTENNA AND TRANSMISSION LINE/RECEIVING EQUIPMENT FOR THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 2008 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008.
An ordinance authorizing a lease amendment for Trap Rock Industries, Incorporated for the installation of Communications Antenna and Transmission Line Receiving Equipment for the period of January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.
ORDINANCE NO. 3736
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 62 - SALARIES & COMPENSATION – SECTION 62-4 – ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR MANAGERIAL AND EXEMPT EMPLOYEES AND ANNUAL LONGEVITY PAYMENT FOR BLUE COLLAR SUPERVISORS.
An ordinance amending Chapter 62, Salaries and Compensation, Section 62-4, Annual Compensation for Managerial and Exempt employees and annual longevity payment for blue-collar supervisors, ceasing annual longevity payment for blue-collar supervisors, effective July 1, 2008 with a longevity phase out payment for foreman hired prior to July 1, 2008.
ORDINANCE NO. 3737
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, ARTICLE XXVIA, RETAIL OVERLAY DISTRICT, SECTION 112-206.2, PERMITTED USES AND STANDARDS; SCHEDULE 2, LOT AND YARD REQUIREMENTS AND SCHEDULE 3, HEIGHT, COVERAGE AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS.
This ordinance also amends Article XXVIA of Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to make the design standards contained therein applicable to all commercial development, whereas currently these standards are only applicable to commercial development in the Retail Overlay District. The ordinance also amends the bulk requirements of the Retail Overlay District so as to make it consistent with the bulk requirements of the General Business District.

An ordinance amending the Code of the Township of Franklin, particularly Chapter 5, Administration of Government, Section 5-4, Meetings of the Township Council with the addition of subsection (G) Meeting Dates and Times by prohibiting Board and Commissions to hold their regular scheduled meetings on the same date and time as regular scheduled Township Council meetings.
