An ordinance amending the Code, Chapter 5, Administration of Government, Section 5-4, Meetings, Subsection D – Minutes – Change recording of meeting requirements from tapes to audio recordings.

AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, EXTINGUISHING AND VACATING THE RIGHTS OF THE PUBLIC IN A PORTION OF A STREET KNOWN AS A PORTION OF OLD NEW BRUNSWICK ROAD IN THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY.
An Ordinance releasing, extinguishing and vacating a portion of a street known as Old New Brunswick Road in conjunction with a recommendation made by the Franklin Township Planning Board to allow Franklin Retail to combine both Franklin Retail projects as one. One project has received Site Plan approval for a Shop Rite currently under construction and the other is a future Site Plan application for a proposed retail center, bank and restaurant to be located at the corner or New Brunswick Road and Elizabeth Avenue.

An ordinance amending Traffic Code Section 226-10 – No Stopping or Standing Prohibited During Certain Hours on Certain Streets to include the following streets with parking restricted to one side: Carmen Street, Clifton Street; DeKalb Street; Landers Street; Rogers Avenue; Viking Avenue and Waldorf Street. The ordinance also amends Traffic Code Section 226-13 – Parking Prohibited At All Times on Certain Streets to include change of DeKalb Street to both sides.

An Ordinance accepting conveyance of deed dedications for Block 9,Lot 14 (Right-of-Way along Canal Road) and Block 9, Lot 16 (Right-of-Way along Copper Mine Road) to satisfy a condition of Minor Subdivision Approval granted by the Franklin Township Planning Board on June 7, 2006 and memorialized in a resolution adopted by the Planning Board on August 2, 2006 in Docket #PLN2006-0009.

An ordinance amending Chapter 180, Fees, Article III, Vital Statistics Records, Section 180-6 Fee Schedule (Decrease Burial Permit Fee from $5.00 to $1.00 (effective February 9, 2007) and add Fee for copy of Civil Union License - $10 (effective February 19, 2007).

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, SECTION 112-6(B), OFFICIAL ZONING MAP (CHANGE ZONE DESIGNATION OF BLOCK 73.01, LOTS 25-27 AND 31-36 FROM A (AGRICULTURAL) TO R-10-H (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL/HISTORIC OVERLAY)
This ordinance changes the designation of Block 73.01, Lots 25-27 and 31-36 from zone designation A (Agricultural) to R-10-H (Single-Family Residential/Historic Overlay).
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey that the Code of the Township of Franklin is hereby amended in accordance with the recommendation from the Franklin Township Master Plan as follows:
Chapter 112, Land Development – Article II, Section 112-6, Zoning Districts and Zoning Map, Paragraph (B) Official Zoning Map is amended as follows:
Official Zoning Map is amended to change the designation of certain property known as: Block 73.01, Lots 25-27 and 31-36 from zone designation A (agricultural) to R-10-H (Single-Family Residential/Historic Overlay).
Each clause, section or subsection of this ordinance shall be deemed a separate provision to the intent that if any such clause, section or subsection should be declared invalid, the remainder of the ordinance shall not be affected.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed as the extent of such inconsistency.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption and publication according to law.
