PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held on June 28, 2007:
ORDINANCE NO. 3701
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, SECTION 112-6(B), OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO CHANGE THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF BLOCK 5.02, LOTS 120-122; 124-127; 129-130; 132; 134; 133.02; 135 AND PORTIONS OF LOTS 123, 131 AND 133.01 FROM ZONE DESIGNATION O-P (OFFICE PROFESSIONAL) TO R-20-H (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL); AMEND SCHEDULE 1, PERMITTED USES TO PERMIT PROFESSIONAL OFFICE USES IN THE R-20-H DISTRICT AS A CONDITIONAL USE; AND AMEND ARTICLE V, CONDITONAL USES TO PROVIDE CONDITIONAL USE STANDARDS FOR PROFESSIONAL USES IN THE R-20-H DISTRICT.
An Ordinance amending Chapter 112, Development Ordinance, Section 112-6(B), Official Zoning Map to change the zone designation of Block 5.02, Lots 120-122; 124-127; 129-130; 132; 134; 133.02; 135 and portions of Lots 123, 131 and 133.01 from zone designation O-P (Office Professional) to R-20-H (Single Family Residential); Amend Schedule 1, Permitted Uses to permit professional office uses in the R-20-H district as a conditional use; and amend Article V, Conditional Uses to provide conditional use standards for professional uses in the R-20-H district.

AN ORDINANCE TO ACQUIRE BY PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATON CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY FOR OPEN SPACE AND/OR FARM PRESERVATION PURPOSES
An ordinance authorizing the acquisition by purchase or condemnation land known as the Terhune Farm located on Canal Road (Block 33.01, Lots 16-17 and Block 19, Lot36) for open space and/or farm preservation purposes.
ORDINANCE NO. 3704
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 62 - SALARIES & COMPENSATION – SECTION 62-5 – ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR FULL TIME WHITE COLLAR MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES.
SUMMARY
An ordinance amending Chapter 62, Salaries and Compensation, Section 62-5 – Annual Compensation for full time white collar municipal employees by the restructuring of salary titles and salary ranges as per the Memorandum of Understanding dated May 31, 2007 between the Township of Franklin and AFSCME 2859 for the contract term July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2010.

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on May 8, 2007; amended at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin on June 12, 2007 and tabled at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin on June 28, 2007. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on July 10, 2007 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.

(Increase DOG LICENSE FEE FROM $7.00 TO $12.00, effective january 1, 2008)
An Ordinance amending Chapter 115, Dogs and Other Animals, Section 115-8, Licensing Required; Fees; Term; Nontransferability, by increasing dog license fees from $7.00 to $12.00, effective January 1, 2008.
