ORDINANCE NO. 3712

 

AN ORDINANCE AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 13, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES, ARTICLE I, ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH, SECTION 13-1, MEMBERS APPOINTED. (ADD NON-VOTING STUDENT MEMBER)

 

SUMMARY

 

An Ordinance amending Chapter 13, Boards, Commissions and Committees, Article I, Advisory Board of Health, Section 13-1, Members Appointed to increase membership with the position of non-voting student member.

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3713

 

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 192 – FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION AND REPLACING IT WITH A NEW CHAPTER 192 – FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION AS PER NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS.

An Ordinance repealing Chapter 192, Flood Damage Prevention and replacing it with a new Chapter 192, Flood Damage Prevention as per New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection requirements.

SUMMARY

 

An ordinance amending Traffic Code Section 226-10 – No Stopping or Standing Prohibited During Certain Hours on Certain Streets to delete the Waldorf Street – East Side – 24 Hours from Franklin Boulevard to Lovers Lane.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF CAPITAL ORDINANCE NO. 3714

 

 

                        The capital ordinance, the title of which is published herewith, has been finally adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey (the “Township”) on September 18, 2007.

 

                        The purpose of this capital ordinance is to appropriate the sum of $538,500 now available in the Capital Improvement Fund of the Township and to expend such moneys for the payment of the costs associated with the construction by the Authority (as hereinafter defined) of a sewer pump station, on real property located on Block 151, Lots 9-11 on the official tax map of the Township, and a force main, on real property located on Block 150, Lots 42, 53, 84, 95, 126 and 137 and Block 151, Lot 24 on the official tax map of the Township, to provide additional sewer capacity for various properties within a redevelopment area in the Township known as the Renaissance 2000 Redevelopment Area (collectively, the “Project”).  Such expenditure shall be reimbursed to the Capital Improvement Fund of the Township from any moneys received by the Township pursuant to (i) the Developer’s Agreement to be executed by and between the Township and Somerset Douglas Realty, LLC and (ii) the Interlocal Services Agreement to be executed by and between the Township and the Franklin Township Sewerage Authority (the “Authority”).

SUMMARY

 

An ordinance amending Chapter 333, Streets and Sidewalks, Article I, Street Openings to eliminate the inspection escrow and include it in the permit fee.  This would eliminate the $150.00 deposit required for each application.  The proposed permit fee will be based on the square feet of road opening and no portion of the fee will be returned.  As a result, the Engineering Department will handle the street opening permit process.
