PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held November 10, 2008:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3792

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN TOWNSHIP-OWNED LANDS LOCATED ON A PORTION OF BLOCK 285, LOT 11 TO FORTUNATO BENTIVOGLIO AND ELEONORA BENTIVOGLIO, IN EXCHANGE FOR THE CONVEYANCE AND DEDICATION, TO THE TOWNSHIP FROM FORTUNATO BENTIVOGLIO AND ELEONORA BENTIVOGLIO, OF A RIGHT-OF-WAY IN CONNECTION WITH A PORTION OF BLOCK 285, LOT 12.

 

SUMMARY

 

An Ordinance authorizing the conveyance of a five (5) foot strip of Township-owned land located on a portion of Block 285, Lot 11 to the owners of 49 Belmar Street, Block 285, Lot 12, Fortunato Bentivoglio and Eleonora Bentivoglio, husband and wife, in exchange for their conveyance and dedication, to the Township, of a five (5) foot strip of Right-of-Way in connection with their property located at 49 Belmar Street, again, Block 285, Lot 12.

AN ORDINANCE TO ACQUIRE BY PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATON CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, SOMERSET COUNTY FOR OPEN SPACE AND/OR FARMLAND PURPOSES (FEIBEL PROPERTY/GEORGETOWN ROAD/BLOCK 11.01, LOT 24.01 – KURZAWSKI PROPERTY/SKILLMAN LANE/BLOCK 85, LOT 1.03 – RANDOLPH PROPERTY/GROUSER ROAD/BLOCK 59.01/LOT 9 – SKIKUS PROPERTY/GROUSER ROA/BLOCK 59.01, LOT 10.02)

 

SUMMARY

 

An ordinance authorizing the acquisition by purchase or condemnation the following property for open space and/or farmland preservation purposes:  a) Feibel Property located on Georgetown Road and identified as Block 11.01, Lot 24.01, consisting of plus/minus 22.8 acres; and b) Kurzawski Property located on Skillman Lane and identified as Block 85, Lot 1.03, consisting of plus/minus 1.4 acres; c) Randolph Property located on Grouser Road and identified as Block 59.01, Lot 9, consisting of plus/minus 6.8 acres; and d) Skikus Property located on Grouser Road and identified as Block 59.01, Lot 10.02, consisting of plus/minus 10.4 acres.

ORDINANCE TO EXCEED THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION LIMITS AND TO ESTABLISH A CAP BANK (N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14)

 

SUMMARY

 

An Ordinance authorizing the Township to exceed the Municipal Budget Appropriation Limits and to establish a Cap Bank as per N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14.  The SFY 2009 budget year, the final appropriations of the Township of Franklin shall, in accordance with said ordinance and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14, is proposed to be increased by 1%, amounting to $345,116.22.  It also provides that any amount authorized in said ordinance that is not appropriated as part of the final budget shall be retained as an exception to final appropriation in either of the next two succeeding years.

SUMMARY

 

An ordinance amending the Code Appendix Chapter A401, Telecommunications Franchises by adding new Appendix Article VIII, Fiber Technologies Networks, LLC.

SUMMARY

 

Amending the ordinance that provides for the regulations for the movement and the parking of traffic in Somerset Glenn including regulations for parking; stopping/standing prohibited; stop intersections; tow away and no passing zones as per recommendations by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following resolution was adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held November 10, 2008:

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADOPTION OF 2009 REORGANIZATION MEETING; COUNCIL RETREAT; ANNUAL MEETING SCHEDULE; AND BUDGET HEARINGS

 

          WHEREAS, the Open Public Meeting Act (P.L. 1975, Chapter 231) of the Laws of the State of New Jersey, Section 13 thereof, requires the public body, at least once each year within seven (7) days following the Annual Organization or Reorganization meeting of the public body, or by January 10th to provide notice of a schedule of regular meeting of said public body to be held during the succeeding year; and
