Family Preparedness

Revised: February 24, 2003

In these times of heightened awareness, the Franklin Township Office of Emergency Management emphaizes the importance of family preparedness for times of emergency. To help plan for such events, the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management has developed a Family Preparedness Guide that details steps the public can take to prepare themselves for an emergency. The Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) has also developed a similar guide titled, "Are You Ready? A Guide to Citizen Preparedness." Both guides can be downloaded by double clicking the following links or from the respective web sites noted below:

The Franklin Township Office of Emergency Management works closely with its counterparts at the county, state and federal level to monitor and respond to emergencies. Citizens should monitor their local television and radio stations for late breaking news. When necessary, public service announcements will be issued by these agency's advising citizens of important information regarding our county's continuing efforts to curb terrorism and what precautions can be taken.
