Mission Statement

It is the Mission of the Engineering Department to provide professional engineering and surveying and other technical support to the offices of Planning and Zoning, Tax Assessor, Building Codes, Public Works, Fire Prevention, Police, other municipal departments, and the public at large, as well as the Township Council, Manager, Attorney, Clerk, Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. The Department staff provides services for review of site plans and subdivision plans and site inspection to ensure compliance with Township ordinances and regulations, specifications, resolutions of approval, and standard construction practices. Permits for soil importation and exportation and tree removal can be obtained through this Department. We assist the public with the interpretation of plans, surveys, wetlands and flood maps. Other responsibilities include the preparation and update of the Township's tax maps, street map and other mapping for general public use.
