It is your environment, treat it well.

Recent Commission Accomplishments Include:

  • Helping to create the Township Open Space trust fund, as well as greenways and wildlife corridors.
  • Obtaining grants to create informative brochures regarding trails, trees and natural resources for the township Bunker Hill Environmental Center.
  • Distributing over 1,000 evergreen seedlings as part of our community outreach and education along with the Shade Tree Commission.
  • Fighting to prevent construction of billboards along Route 287 in Franklin Township.
  • Performing a water quality study of the township streams and water corridors that was funded by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
