Stream Cleanup Event - Seely's Brook

The Environmental Commission reported that their June 9th Seely’s Brook cleanup event, performed in conjunction with the Stony-Brook Millstone Watershed Association, was very successful.  Twenty-three people participated, and an estimated 1456 pounds of waste was removed, including 19 shopping carts, a television, motor vehicle parts and tires.  Similar events are planned for the future; however, it is hoped that proper waste disposal and recycling become recognized as necessary components of our lives to help keep our environment clean and healthy.  The Environmental Commission would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this cleanup so successful.
