PUBLIC NOTICE ORDINANCE NO. 3881-10 ADOPTED
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinance was approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held June 22, 2010:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT.
This ordinance amends provisions of Chapter 112, Land Development, pertaining to the construction of churches and similar places of worship. Such measures are intended to allow reasonable accommodation for schools, churches and similar places of worship within the Township, but in a manner that reduces potential impacts to the surrounding areas.

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on June 22, 2010. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on July 13, 2010 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.
ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 50, POLICE DEPARTMENT, ARTICLE I, SECTION 50-4, COMPOSITION AND TITLES; SECTION 50-10, ELIGIBILITY FOR PROMOTION; SECTION 50-12, PROMOTION TO CAPTAIN, DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF AND CHIEF OF POLICE; SECTION 50-13, BENEFITS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND CHAPTER 62, SALARIES AND COMPENSATION, SECTION 62-4, ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR MANAGERIAL AND EXEMPT EMPLOYEES AND LONGEVITY PAYMENTS FOR BLUE COLLAR SUPERVISORS.
SUMMARY
An ordinance amending the Code Chapter 50, Police Department and Chapter 62, Salaries and Compensation by deleting the position of Police Captain.

An ordinance amending Code Chapter 132, Fire Prevention Fees, Article III, Permits and Fees, Section 132-11, Additional Required Permits, Inspections and Fees and Section 132-18, Fees with the increase of inspection fees.
