PUBLIC NOTICE ORDINANCES ADOPTED

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held August 24, 2010:

ORDINANCE NO. 3890-10

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, LAND DEVELOPMENT, TO IMPLEMENT AN ELEMENT OF THE FAIR SHARE PLAN KNOWN AS CAMPUS DRIVE (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE)

SUMMARY

This ordinance amends Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to implement an element of the Fair Share Plan with the creation of the Multi-Family Residential Zone which accommodates townhouse and apartment residences while providing low- and moderate-income housing.  The Official Zoning Map is amended to change the designation of property known as Block 536.01, Lot 2.03 from CB to MR (Campus Drive).

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, LAND DEVELOPMENT, TO IMPLEMENT AN ELEMENT OF THE FAIR SHARE PLAN KNOWN AS LADUREE (PLANNED RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY ZONE)

SUMMARY

This ordinance amends Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to implement an element of the Fair Share Plan with the addition of the Planned Residential Community (PRC) Zone.  The Official Zoning Map is amended to change the designation of property known as Block 424.01, Lot 39.07 from R-20 to PRC (Laduree).

ORDINANCE NO. 3892-10

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, LAND DEVELOPMENT, TO IMPLEMENT AN ELEMENT OF THE FAIR SHARE PLAN KNOWN AS SPRING HILL SENIOR LIVING (INDEPENDENT SENIOR LIVING ZONE)

SUMMARY

This ordinance amends Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to implement an element of the Fair Share Plan with the addition of the Independent Senior Living (ISL) Zone which purpose is to allow the development of an independent senior living facility that addresses the need for age-restricted housing in the Township and which addresses the need for affordable housing intended solely for seniors.  The Official Zoning Map is amended to change the designation of property known as Block 347, Lot 7 from R-15 to ISL (Springhill Senior Living).

ORDINANCE NO. 3893-10

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 81, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, TO REFLECT CURRENT COAH AND UHAC RULES.

SUMMARY

This ordinance amends Chapter 81, Affordable Housing, so as to bring the chapter into compliance with current COAH rules and the Uniform Housing Affordability Controls (UHAC) requirements.
