PUBLIC NOTICE ORDINANCES ADOPTED
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held October 12, 2010:
ORDINANCE NO. 3889A-10,
ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 180, FEES TO COMPLY WITH NEW JERSEY STATE LEGISLATION REGARDING FEES CHARGED FOR PUBLIC RECORDS.
An ordinance amending Chapter 180, Fees to comply with legislation adopted on June 28, 2010 and effective November 9, 2010 regarding fees charged for public records. Said fees have been reduced to comply with legislation that requires $0.05 for letter size or smaller copies and $0.07 for legal size or larger copies or only the cost of the medium can be charged.
ORDINANCE NO. 3899-10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 115, DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS, ARTICLE II, DOGS AND CATS WITH THE ADDITION OF PROVISIONS TO LICENSE CATS AND INCREASING THE LICENSING FEE FOR DOGS.
An ordinance amending the Code, Chapter 115, Dogs and Other Animals, Article II, Dogs and Cats with the addition of provisions to license cats in the Township and increasing the fees for dog licenses from $12.00 to $15.00.
ORDINANCE NO. 3900-10
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE SECTION 226-31 (C) – REGULATIONS FOR THE MOVEMENT AND THE PARKING OF TRAFFIC ON ALL OTHER PRIVATE PROPERTY – ADDING QUAIL CREST I.
SUMMARY
An ordinance amending the Traffic Ordinance to provide regulations for the movement and the parking of traffic in Quail Crest I including regulations for parking; stopping/standing prohibited; stop intersections; tow away and no passing zones.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 146, CONSTRUCTION CODES, UNIFORM, SECTION 146-2, FEES, SUBSECTION (D), FEES.
An ordinance amending the Construction Codes, Uniform Fees, establishing a more equitable and uniform process in connection with building sand mechanical subcode fees as per N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.20.

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on October 12, 2010. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on November 9, 2010 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.
ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 325, SPECIAL EVENTS, SECTION 325-10, LICENSE FEES.
An ordinance amending the Code Chapter 325 – Special Events, Section 325-10, License Fees by changing the fees to $125.00 for one-day events and $200.00 per day for circuses, carnivals and large special events.

An ordinance amending Chapter 378 by renaming chapter “Motorized Sport Bikes and Related Vehicles” and revising the entire chapter.

NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION OF CAPITAL ORDINANCE NO. 3912-10
The capital ordinance, the title of which is published herewith, has been introduced and adopted upon first reading at a meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey (the “Township”) held on October 12, 2010 and will be further considered for final adoption by such Township Council after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of said Township Council to be held on November 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Municipal Building, in said Township, in said County.
The purpose of this capital ordinance is to appropriate the sum of $125,000 now available in the Open Space Trust Fund of the Township for the acquisition and installation of lights in Little League fields throughout the Township for open space purposes.
A copy of this ordinance may be obtained without cost from the Office of the Township Clerk, at the Township Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, New Jersey 08873 during regular business hours.
