PUBLIC NOTICE ORDINANCES ADOPTED
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held March 22, 2011:
ORDINANCE NO. 3923-11
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN TO QUITCLAIM ANY AND ALL INTERESTS IT MAY HAVE IN REAL PROPERTY KNOWN AS 631 SOMERSET STREET, AND IDENTIFIED ON THE TOWNSHIP’S TAX MAPS AS BLOCK 152, LOTS 24, 25 and 26 and BLOCK 153, LOTS 27,28, 29 AND 30 AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT OVER THE SAME PROPERTY
SUMMARY
An ordinance authorizing the Township of Franklin (County of Somerset) to quitclaim any and all interests it may have in real property known as 631 Somerset Street, and identified on the Township’s tax maps as Block 152, Lots 24, 25 and 26 and Block 153, Lots 27, 28, 29 and 30 and authorizing the acceptance of a conservation easement over the same property.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 260, PARKS AND RECREATION, SECTION 260-11, EXCLUSIVE-USE PERMITS FOR PARK FACILITIES.
An ordinance amending Code Chapter 260, Parks and Recreation, Section 260-1, Exclusive-Use Permits for Park Facilities by increasing the fees for picnic areas from $25 to $40 and athletic fields from $10 to $20.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROPERTIES CONTAINED IN THE HAMILTON STREET BUSINESS COMMUNITY SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AS CREATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 3540 ENTITLED , “AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY CREATING A SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN – HAMILTON STREET BUSINESS COMMUNITY,” ADOPTED ON APRIL 26, 2005 AND AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 3679 ADOPTED ON MAY 22, 2007.
This ordinance amends Attachment A of Ordinance No. 3540 entitled, “An Ordinance of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey Creating a Special Improvement District for the Township of Franklin – Hamilton Street Business Community,” adopted by the Township Council at a meeting held on April 26, 2005 and amended by Ordinance No. 3679 adopted by the Township Council at a meeting held on May 22, 2007. Said ordinance amends the properties contained in the Special Improvement District.

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on March 22, 2011. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on April 12, 2011 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN BY AMENDING CHAPTER 390, ENTITLED WRECKERS, SECTION 390-10, CONDUCT OF OWNERS AND OPERATORS.
An Ordinance amending the Chapter 390 – Wreckers, Section 390-10, Conduct of Owners and Operators, by updating the procedures followed by the Police Department regarding notification to the wrecker companies about job callouts.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN BY AMENDING CHAPTER 13, ENTITLED, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, ARTICLE XVIII, SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE, SECTION 13-80, RULES OF PROCEDURE.
An Ordinance amending the Chapter 13, Boards and Commissions, Article XVIII, Senior Citizen Advisory Committee, Section 13-80, Rules of Procedure, by removing the requirement that officers may serve no more than two consecutive terms in any one office.
