AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 260, PARKS AND RECREATION, ADD NEW ARTICLE VIII, TRAILS, SECTION 260-41, PERMITTED USES.
An ordinance amending Code Chapter 260, Parks and Recreation, Article VIII, Trails, Section 260-41, Permitted Uses, by outlining the procedure of how the trails permitted use list is amended and removing said list from the ordinance.

SUMMARY
An ordinance amending the Traffic Ordinance to add the following stop intersections for streets in the Battle Place/Davis Avenue area and Stop Intersections in Somerset Run.

An Ordinance amending Chapter 13, Boards, Commissions and Committees by repealing Article XIII, Insurance Commission in its entirety; change “One member shall be the Mayor or other chief executive officer of the municipality” to “One member shall be the Mayor or his designee”; remove “Senior Affordable Housing Advisory Committee” from Section 13-92; the addition of a Housing Authority Council Liaison and a Rent Leveling Board Council Liaison.

An Ordinance authorizing the acceptance of an easement from Ten Mile Run Homeowners Association to the Township of Franklin for premises known as Block 20.12, Lot 61 in connection with the construction of various pedestrian foot paths, trails and related structures.

An Ordinance amending the Municipal Code of the Township of Franklin by adding a new Chapter 152, Hunting Generally and Wildlife Management with the provisions for general hunting regulations and a wildlife management program within the Township and the establishment of a Wildlife Management Committee.

ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 112 “ZONING AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN” OF THE TOWNSHIP CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY SO AS TO REGULATE BILLBOARDS.
This ordinance amends provisions of Chapter 112 of the Township Code so as to regulate the erection of billboards within the Township. The purpose of this ordinance is to balance the need to control and regulate billboards, promote and preserve the scenic beauty and character of the Township, provide for the safety and convenience of the public, and to recognize certain Constitutional rights relative to outdoor advertising. The ordinance regulates various aspects pertaining to the establishment, use, maintenance and removal of billboards within the Township including location, spacing, number, size and design, and illumination of billboards.
