PUBLIC NOTICE ORDINANCES ADOPTED

 

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinances were approved for final adoption by the Township Council of the Township of Franklin at a Regular Meeting held February 23, 2010:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3845-10

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, ARTICLE VI, WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS ANTENNAS.

 

SUMMARY

 

This ordinance amends Article VI, Wireless Communications Antennas, of Chapter 112, Land Development, so as to: (1) reorganize the Article, to provide clarity with respect to the procedural requirements and to eliminate redundancies and inconsistencies in the ordinance; (2) to provide administrative approval of certain applications by the full Technical Review Committee rather than just the Township Engineer and Director of Planning as currently permitted; and (3) slightly expand the types of applications that require administrative approval by the Technical Review Committee.

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3846-10

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY CHAPTER 112, DEVELOPMENT, SECTION 112-4, DEFINITIONS, AND SCHEDULE 2, LOT AND YARD REQUIREMENTS

 

SUMMARY

 

This ordinance adds a definition for “Dwelling, Single Family (Zero Lot Line)”, amends the minimum lot area requirement for two-family dwellings in the R-7 zone and establishes lot and yard requirements for zero lot line single-family dwellings in a R-7 zone.

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3861-10

 

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY, CHAPTER 142, GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE, ARTICLE V, REFUSE CONTAINERS/DUMPSTERS (REQUIREMENTS AS PER NJDEP).

 

SUMMARY

An ordinance requiring dumpsters and other refuse containers that are outdoors or exposed to stormwater to be covered at all times and prohibits the spilling, dumping, leaking, or otherwise discharge of liquids, semi-liquids or solids from the containers to the municipal separate storm sewer system(s) operated by the Township of Franklin and/or the waters of the State so as to protect public health, safety and welfare, and to prescribe penalties for the failure to comply.

 

 

 

 

 

ORDINANCE NO. 3862-10

 

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, MORE PARTICULARLY, CHAPTER 201 SEWERS & SEWAGE DISPOSAL, ARTICLE VI, PRIVATE STORM DRAIN INLET RETROFITTING (REQUIREMENTS AS PER NJDEP).

 

SUMMARY

An ordinance requiring the retrofitting of existing storm drain inlets which are in direct contact with repaving, repairing, reconstruction, or resurfacing or alterations of facilities on private property, to prevent the discharge of solids and floatables (such as plastic bottles, cans, food wrappers and other litter) to the municipal separate storm sewer system(s) operated by the Township of Franklin so as to protect public health, safety and welfare, and to prescribe penalties for the failure to comply.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, SOMERSET COUNTY

PUBLIC NOTICE

INTRODUCED ORDINANCE NO. 3870-10

 

The following Ordinance was Introduced and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Franklin, County of Somerset and State of New Jersey on February 23, 2010.  This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the said Township Council, at the Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ on March 23, 2010 at a meeting beginning at 7:00 pm, or at any time and place to which such meeting may be adjourned.  All persons interested will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning such Ordinance.  During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Clerk’s office for the members of the general public who shall request the same.

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN, COUNTY OF SOMERSET AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE  OF EASEMENT FROM KERANI REALTY, LLC TO TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN FOR PREMISES KNOWN AS BLOCK 5.02, LOT 61.08.

 

SUMMARY

 

                An Ordinance authorizing the acceptance of an easement from Kerani Realty, LLC, Developer, for the perpetual maintenance of storm water drainage facilities located on premises known as Block 5.02, Lot 61.08 (Riddering Drive)by the Township of Franklin.
