Annual Reassessment Program Underway

Inspectors from the Township’s Tax Assessor’s office have started calling on residents to inspect their properties as part of the 2013 reassessment program. Residents are encouraged to ask to see the inspector’s Township-issued identification before letting anyone into their home.

The 2012 property tax assessment notification postcards have been mailed to all property owners. It is important to carefully check the card to insure the accuracy of your assessment. If you disagree with your assessment or it appears to be in error an appeal should be filed with the Somerset County Board of Taxation no later than May 1, 2012.
