What is Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T.?
Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. was developed by Chief of Police Craig R. Novick
R.E.S.P.E.C.T. stands for Responsibility Ensuring Senior Citizens and Police Enjoy Common Trust. The program was developed to address the needs and improve communication with Franklin Township’s senior citizens. Sgt. Philip Rizzo, Officer Troy Lipp, Officer Amber Sincak, Officer Emma Bascom and Officer Leah Spahr are currently assigned as Senior Citizens Liaison Officers.

Senior Citizen Police Academy
"File of Life" Program
A medical information packet designed to provide emergency personnel with pertinent medical information to assist first responders with immediate medical treatment. The "File of Life" refrigerator magnet is a red vinyl packet containing a medical information card for each household member. It contains a sticker that is affixed to the front door or window of the house to alert emergency personnel that the file is exists.
Home Security Surveys
A member of the Franklin Township Police Department will visit your residence and provide suggestions on how to increase security in your home. Contact Sgt. Philip Rizzo to schedule a home security survey.
Home/Phone Scam Lectures
Lectures are provided to groups of senior citizens educating them on how to avoid becoming victims of home repair and phone scams. These lectures are scheduled at the request of your senior group leader.
Senior Citizen's Police Academy
This training is provided at Police Headquarters and is geared toward senior citizens. Blocks of instruction include personal safety, crimes against the elderly and police operations. This class meets once a week for 5 weeks.
