Franklin Township Proclamations

The Township Council issued a proclamation recognizing April 28, 2007 as National Arbor Day in Franklin Township, encouraging all residents to plant, conserve and care for trees, and thanking the Shade Tree Commission and community volunteers for planting 20 bald cypress trees in Naaman Williams Park.


The Township Council issued a proclamation May 2007 as National Preservation Month sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.


The Township Council issued a commendation to Fred A. McKenzie, for the devotion and dedication to Franklin Township. Prior to his resignation May 31,2007, Mr. McKenzie served Franklin Township as Councilman Ward 3 from January 1, 2002 to November 8, 2004 and Councilman At-large from November 9, 2004 to May 31, 2007. He also served as Deputy Mayor from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2005. Other boards and committees included the Administration Standing Committee, Advisory Recreation Council, Board of Education Liaison, Board of Education Joint Subcommittee, Financial Oversight Subcommittee, Municipal Cross Acceptance Committee, Planning Board, Public Affairs Committee, Public Relations and Cable TV Standing Committee, Public Safety Standing Committee; Recreation Council; Recreation Facility Study Committee and Stormwater Management Committee.
