FRANKLIN’S PROCLAMATIONS HONOR
CURRENT AND FUTURE STARS

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, New Jersey—June 13, 2006—The Franklin Township Council at their June 13th meeting presented five proclamations. Franklin residents can watch the presentations, as well as the entire council meeting, on local government access channel FTTV-25.


Franklin Thunder Basketball Team

The Township Council presented commendations to the Franklin residents, ages 8-12, who are members of the Franklin Thunder Basketball Team. The team received the “Ted Kaplan Exemplary Recreation Team Award.” The Council congratulated the Recreation staff who volunteer their time, the teen and adult volunteers and the members of the team for the outstanding achievement, commending them for their character, talent and hard work.

Third Grade Gifted and Talented Students of Hillcrest School

The Township Council presented commendations to members of the third grade Gifted and Talented students of Hillcrest School for their designation as First Place Winners in the New Jersey Bar Foundations annual Law Fair Contest. The project included writing a law case and presenting it to a judge and jury at the Law Center in New Brunswick. Participants included: Majed Ammari, Anthony Kovacs, Nikita Kulkarni, Aaliyah Milson, Joseph Morales, Steven Murset, Ayanna Neal, Jerome Ramons, Kayla Tinio and David Valdevieso.

Michael Moser

The Township Council presented a commendation to Michael Moser, who completed his tenure on the Franklin Township Business and Industry Advisory Board as Hotel Industry Member.

CELEBRATE NEW JERSEY! MONTH

The Township Council proclaimed June, 2006 as CELEBRATE NEW JERSEY! MONTH, recognizing the many highlights and facts of the state.


Robert Girardi

The Township Council awarded a commendation to Robert Girardi for his 20 years of dedicated service to the Township. Mr. Girardi recently retired from the Department of Public Works.
