Councilwoman Wandra L. Ashley-Williams received a commendation at the Council meeting for her work serving the community as Councilwoman-at-Large from January 1, 2004 to October 15, 2006 and as Deputy Mayor from January 1, 2006 to October 15, 2006

Franklin Police Corporal Phillip Rizzo received a commendation from the Township Council for his work with the Community Anti-Terrorism  (C.A.T. Eyes) program. The Corporal was named a master instructor in the program for training more than 300 civilians to be the “eyes and ears” for law enforcement.

Council proclaimed Sunday, October 15, 2006 “Crop Walk Day” in Franklin Township, encouraging citizens to participate in the 33rd annual walk for hunger awareness sponsored by the local churches.
