REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN
IN SOMERSET COUNTY 

MISSION

The Redevelopment Agency is responsible for assisting the Township of Franklin in the revitalization of the Renaissance Redevelopment Area. This effort is undertaken in conjunction with the First Baptist Community Development Corporation, the City of New Brunswick and New Brunswick Tomorrow. The goals are to promote the economic vitality of this portion of Franklin Township and to provide affordable housing opportunities for the residents of the Township.

ABOUT THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

The Township created the Redevelopment Agency of The Township of Franklin in September 1999. The Agency has a seven member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Township Council. The Commissioners serve 5 year staggered terms, except the two Township Council members who serve 1-year terms.

The Executive Director of the Agency is the Township Manager.

The Redevelopment Agency meets the third Monday of each month at 7:30pm in the Township Municipal Building.
