The Township of Franklin is committed to helping the state achieve its goal of 100% clean energy by year 2050 and helping residents save money. We have partnered with Eversolar, a local community solar provider, which has rooftop solar farms located on top of privately-owned businesses in Franklin Township.
You may have seen this information in the fall edition of the Franklin Times, our community newsletter, or received a letter from Mayor Kramer, about this program. Residents can save a guaranteed 21% on electricity costs every month — the highest discount available in New Jersey.
Eversolar's community solar projects allow residents to access the benefits of solar without having to install panels on their own roof. That means both homeowners and renters are eligible for the program, whether they live in a house, condo, or in an apartment. Eversolar's community solar farms in Franklin are expected to go live next year and will provide electricity savings to roughly 1,500 households. There is no charge to sign up for this program, no credit check required, and you can cancel any time without penalty.
