Hundreds of Franklinites attended the Franklin Days Series finale on Saturday, September 24th to enjoy a festive day of entertainment, an array of food vendors, and resource information from scores of local organizations and businesses.

There were performances at the township gazebo by featured bands, New Jersey's own 100% disco, dance, and party band, “The Discoteks” and the return of “Swing Sabroso” with latin sounds of today combined with the nostalgia of yesterday. The Cultural Stage presented performances by classical guitarist Mort Melman, Villagers Theatre, students from Benson Music, Modern Motion Dance, a demonstration from Black Belt World Tae Kwon Do and the grand finale by the Community Fellowship Mass Choir. The event also incorporated a “classic car show” that showcased 15 classic and vintage cars from various eras.

The Parks & Recreation children’s area included games, a balloon artist and face painter from “The Mad Hatters” and a special appearance by reptiles from The Lizard Guys. The Department of Public Works provided a “touch a truck” station with various construction vehicles and children also had the opportunity to interact with the Franklin police cars and fire trucks.

The township tent included representatives from the offices of Township Manager, Township Clerk, Information Technology, Tax & Water Collection, Tax Assessor, Code Enforcement, and Special Projects as well as the Franklin Township Cultural Arts Council and Trails Committee.

This event was the culmination of our series of 4 events held throughout the summer, that served as the rebranding of the annual Franklin Day Festival putting the focus on Franklin businesses, organizations and those who serve the Franklin community.

We hope residents enjoyed all the events in the series and look forward to seeing everyone in 2023!

Thank you all that shared the Franklin Day Finale with us.
