Naaman Williams Park Clean-up

The Franklin Township Environmental Commission (FTEC) is inviting residents to clean up Naaman Williams Park

Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 3:00pm. to 6:00pm

The Franklin Township Environmental Commission (FTEC) is pleased to announce that in addition to their annual stream clean up, it is offering another community project in the wooded section of Naaman Williams Park. All residents are invited to clean-up Naaman Williams Park.

The FTEC is partnering with Nestle and Franklin High School Environmental Club for this project and any extra hands will be welcome. Boys and Girls clubs, schools, environmental clubs, businesses, and individuals, young and old, are invited to participate in this community event. Since 2007, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, we have removed more than 26,000 pounds of garbage from streams in our town.

Nestle is providing volunteers with trash bags, disposable gloves, and yummy refreshments, while the FTEC will lend garbage pickers. Please, bring a reusable water bottle, wear appropriate closed toe footwear for rough terrain, long sleeves, and long pants.

The event captain is Commissioner Maria Santiago-Valentin.

Registration is mandatory and includes liability waiver. Please follow the link: https://forms.gle/cMVnHy7JVr1LU72P8 or scan the QR Code QR Naaman

We will kick off the clean up from the Matilda Parking Lot, Somerset, South corner near the playground
