One of our Environmental Commission volunteers, Jenny Kafas, and Martina Jaraczova, daughter of one of our Commissioners and a member of Franklin Township High School’s Environmental Club, created an informative, interview-style video to encourage residents to “leave the leaves” this fall.

By leaving fallen leaves on the ground instead of raking or bagging them, you can:

  • 🌱 Provide essential habitat for insects and pollinators to overwinter.

  • 🌾 Nourish the soil naturally as leaves decompose.

  • 💧 Conserve water and resources while reducing waste.

  • 💵 Save time and money on lawn maintenance.

Together, these simple actions help keep Franklin Township’s environment healthy and thriving!
