02/23/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Spencer St. during the evening hours. The victim lost his cell phone while out walking his dog. The phone was tracking in motion outside of our jurisdiction. Calls to the phone were directed to voicemail. The phone was valued at $1,700.00 and entered stolen into a national database. The suspect(s) is unknown.

02/24/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary in the area of Douglas Ave. during the overnight hours. An unknown male was observed inside of the victim’s unlocked vehicle. Nothing of value was taken. Patrol canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.

Vincent Brown, 53, of New Brunswick, NJ turned himself in on an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction. Brown was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by extortion. The victim shared photos with a female by the name of “Lily” online. Afterwards, the suspect claimed their name was “Leonardo” and threatened to share the victim’s photos with family members if he did not send money. The victim sent the suspect an Apple gift card valued at $50.00.

02/25/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 02/21/26 in the area of Shepherd St. The unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $40.00.

A business located in the area of Easton Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting during the afternoon hours. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $104.00. An employee followed the suspect through the parking lot and was able to retrieve half of the merchandise. The suspect fled the area on foot.

02/26/2026

Alvin F. Curtis, 38, of South River, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of the Middlesex County Sherriff’s Office during a motor vehicle stop. Curtis was processed and turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

An Edison, NJ company was the victim of a theft on 02/20/26 in the area of Jensen Dr. The unknown suspect(s) stole a trailer valued at $30,000.00. The trailer was entered stolen into a national database. The trailer was recovered in an outside jurisdiction a few weeks later.

A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of a shoplifting during the evening hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $111.00. The suspect fled the area in a silver Nissan.

02/27/2026

A Bridgewater, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Worlds Fair Dr. The victim believed an acquaintance stole her medication while visiting.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft in the area of Norfolk Rd. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet from the center console. The suspect made multiple transactions with the victim’s credit cards.

Dalvin P. Turner, 32, of Staten Island, NY was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction by New Brunswick PD. The FTPD took custody of Turner and transported him to the Somerset County Jail after he was processed. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

02/28/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 02/27/26. The unknown suspect(s) removed $42,000.00 from the victim’s cryptocurrency account by fraudulent means. The victim sold his laptop prior to the theft and believed his hard drive was properly erased.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Hawthorne Dr. during the afternoon hours. An unknown male was captured on surveillance stealing the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $4.00.

Heather N. Ryan, 41, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle crash investigation in the area Davidson Ave. Ryan was processed and released with a pending court appearance. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
