Quadi D. McDougald, 33, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for disorderly conduct and outstanding warrants out of East Orange, NJ during an investigation at a business located in the area of Franklin Blvd. McDougald caused a disturbance in view of others while at the business. McDougald was processed and released on a summons. McDougald was turned over to East Orange PD. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

The suspect stated, “Keep the change,” and fled with the items. The stolen merchandise was valued at $283.00.

Andrew T. Costa, 33, of North Brunswick, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department during a motor vehicle stop. Costa was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

Patrol located the victim’s vehicle, unoccupied, in the area of Regina Pl. before it could be entered stolen into a national database. The vehicle had damage to the door lock and steering column.

A Piscataway, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Franklin Blvd. during the afternoon hours. A black male stole the victim’s jacket but later returned it claiming he believed it belonged to his girlfriend. The victim did an inventory of his property and found that $35.00 was missing from the jacket pocket. The suspect was identified.

The victim checked on the status and found that the check was cashed to a “Xandria Castillo” in the amount of $1,400.43. The suspect who cashed the check was not the intended recipient.
