A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and criminal mischief in the area of Baier Ave. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and damaged the ignition in a possible attempt to steal the vehicle. The damage was valued at $2,000.00.

A West Orange, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Mettlers Rd. during the afternoon hours. The victim was unable to locate her phone after she left it behind at a business. The phone was tracking to an outside jurisdiction. The phone was valued at $1,000.00.

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the morning hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $13.00. The suspect fled the area on foot.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Franklin Blvd. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) damaged the door lock to the victim’s vehicle in a possible attempt to gain entry. The suspect(s) was unsuccessful. The damage was valued at $1,000.00.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of JFK Blvd. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s vehicle. There was evidence of broken glass left behind in the parking stall. The vehicle was located by patrol a few days later, unoccupied, with broken windows and side view mirror.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary between 03/27/26 and 03/30/26 in the area of Hooper St. The unknown suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The vehicle was rummaged through but nothing of value was taken.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 03/29/26 in the area of Millstone Rd. An unknown female was captured on surveillance stealing the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $100.00.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft between 03/26/26 and 03/30/26 in the area of Goshen Ln. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole property valued at $10.00.

Justin H. Prouflias, 35, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for hindering apprehension, lewdness, and possession of drug paraphernalia during an investigation at a business located in the area of Somerset St. Prouflias engaged in inappropriate conduct while utilizing the women’s restroom. He provided several false names to officers on scene. Prouflias was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Woodbridge Township, NJ. Prouflias was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
A business located in the area of Easton Ave. was the victim of theft of services on 03/29/26. Vehicle repair services valued at $1,250.00 were provided to a customer. The customer picked up his vehicle after business hours without paying for the services rendered. Michael A. Williams, 57, of Somerset, NJ was identified as the customer and a warrant was issued for his arrest. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception between 11/20/25 and 03/31/26. The victim met a “Leslie Guo” on LinkedIn and communicated about cryptocurrency via WhatsApp. The unknown suspect convinced the victim to transfer $375,000.00 into her recommended cryptocurrency accounts for investment purposes. After doing so, the victim could no longer access his funds, and the suspect ceased all communication.
Xavier Cedeno, 38, of South Amboy, NJ was arrested by Hazlet Township PD on an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction. The FTPD took custody of Cedeno and transported him to the Somerset County Jail after he was processed. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 03/29/26 in the area of a local park. The victim could not locate his cell phone after he mistakenly left it behind. The phone was valued at $1,700.00. The suspect(s) is unknown.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception between 03/20/26 and 03/23/26. The victim was contacted by a “Naveen Monaga” who claimed she worked for the Indian Embassy. The suspect advised the victim that she was linked to fraudulent activity and connected her to an alleged police officer in Delhi, India. The victim sent the unknown suspect(s) bitcoin valued at $24,100.00 to avoid legal trouble. The victim realized she was scammed after the requests for money continued.
A complex in the area of Parkside St. was the victim of criminal mischief during an unknown time frame. The unknown suspect(s) spray painted the building with various words and phrases with no apparent meaning.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by extortion. The victim exchanged pictures with an unknown male online. The suspect demanded money from the victim in lieu of sharing the pictures with the victim’s family and friends. The victim sent the suspect $75.00. The suspect then blocked the victim from all forms of communication.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of harassment in the area of Hamilton St. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) threw eggs at the victim’s residence and vehicle. There was no reported damage to the victim’s property.
A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of criminal attempt during the evening hours. A black male nearly exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $707.00. The suspect observed an employee nearby and fled prior to exiting the store with the unpaid merchandise. The suspect was identified after he left his personal belongings behind in the shopping cart.

A Hillsborough, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of DeMott Ln. during the morning hours. An Asian female was observed on surveillance picking up the victim’s lost wallet. The victim was notified that his wallet was found but upon retrieving it he observed $300.00 missing. Sunitha Kumaravelu, 51, of Somerset, NJ was identified as the suspect and arrested for theft. Kumaravelu was processed and released on a summons. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception during the afternoon hours. The victim received a phone call from his bank who advised him that there were fraudulent transactions on his account. He was advised to surrender his debit card to a representative who would respond to his residence. The victim gave an unknown Hispanic male his card. Shortly after, $2,594.00 was withdrawn from the victim’s bank account.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft between 04/01/26 and 04/03/26. The unknown suspect(s) stole funds valued at $298.00 from the victim’s EBT account. The funds were spent in an outside jurisdiction.
A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Hamilton St. during the afternoon hours. The victim believed a friend who has access to his residence stole $600.00 and property valued at $1,400.00.
A business located in the area of Hamilton St. was the victim of a theft during the evening hours. An unknown black male requested fuel for his beige Honda Odyssey. Once the vehicle received $80.00 worth of fuel, the suspect fled the area without paying.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 04/03/26 in the area of Somerset St. The unknown suspect(s) stole one of the victim’s license plates. The plate was entered stolen into a national database.
