Franklin Township Launches Franklin 250 Passport Program to Celebrate Local Businesses and America’s 250th Anniversary

Post Date:04/24/2026 10:59 AM

Franklin 250 Passport CoverFranklin Township has officially launched the Franklin 250 Passport Program, an initiative designed to celebrate local businesses while encouraging residents to explore the community in honor of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

The program invites residents to visit participating retailers, restaurants, and service providers throughout Franklin Township and nearby areas. Passport holders can collect stamps, enjoy optional discounts, and earn a chance to win grand prizes at Franklin Day on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Township Municipal Complex.

How the Program Works

Residents can pick up a Franklin 250 Passport at participating businesses, the Municipal Building at 475 DeMott Lane, or the Community/Senior Center at 505 DeMott Lane. After obtaining a passport, participants are encouraged to visit 15 of the 21 stamp‑eligible retailers listed inside.

Each participating location will stamp its designated passport page when residents make a qualifying visit or purchase. While some businesses offer special discounts, as noted in the passport, all stamped locations count equally toward prize eligibility.

Completed passports must be submitted by Friday, September 4, 2026, to be entered into the Township’s prize drawing.

Important Participation Guidelines

• Passports must contain at least 15 official Franklin 250 stamps. Additional stamps do not improve chances of winning.
• One passport entry per person.
• Participants must be age 18 or older (21+ where required). Age‑restricted businesses may only stamp for eligible customers.
• Only official stamps from participating retailers are accepted.
• Passports that are illegible, incomplete, or contain fraudulent stamps will be disqualified.
• The Franklin 250 Committee will make up to three attempts to notify winners before selecting the next entrant.

Participating Sponsors

The Franklin 250 Passport Program is made possible through the generosity of local businesses. Stamp‑eligible sponsors (identified in the official passport by a “Place Stamp Here” circle on their dedicated page) include a mix of dining, retail, professional, and service establishments across Somerset, Franklin Park, and surrounding areas. Discounts are offered at each business’s discretion and may require a qualifying purchase.

The program also recognizes three $250 Sponsors, who contributed to Franklin 250 without the stamp requirement: Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach – Nicolas J. DiMeglio Realtor Associate, Fun at Sea Travel – John Hegedus Travel Advisor, who is also offering a $200 onboard credit for bookings made by 12/31/2026; and Karsay Coffee Distributors.
