04/26/2026

Taharan T. Hodge, 25, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle crash investigation in the area of Beekman Rd. Hodge was processed and released with a pending court appearance. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/24/26. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $216.00.

A business located in the area of Easton Ave. was the victim of a burglary and criminal mischief during the evening hours. The local fire department and patrol responded to a fire alarm and found an unlocked front door to a vacant business. There was evidence of tire tracks on the floor and twenty-two fire extinguishers inside the business were emptied by the unknown suspect(s).

Corey J. Morrison, 39, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for defiant trespassing at a business located in the area of Veronica Ave. Morrison was located inside of a store he was previously trespassed from. Morrison was processed and released on a summons. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

Gregory A. Beaunbrun, 27, of Iselin, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction by Watchung PD. The FTPD took custody of Beaunbrun and transported him to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

Vincente M. Hudson, 59, of New Brunswick, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction by Woodbridge Twp. PD. The FTPD took custody of Hudson and transported him to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

04/27/2026

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of trespassing during the overnight hours. An unknown black male was captured on surveillance entering the building through a door that had a damaged locking mechanism. Patrol conducted a search of the building with negative results for the suspect.

A business located in the area of Veronica Ave. was the victim of a theft on 04/23/26. The suspect intercepted a check mailed by the business, altered it, and cashed it at a bank located in Kentucky. The business suffered a loss of $72,002.00.

A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/26/26. An unknown white male and black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $391.00. It appeared to be a coordinated effort; however, they left the area in separate vehicles.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception between 04/21/26 and 04/27/26. The victim received a text about an unauthorized bank transaction and received a call from the unknown suspect shortly after. The suspect convinced the victim that her account was compromised, and she provided the suspect with sensitive account information. The victim suffered a loss between $18,000.00 and $30,000.00 before realizing she was the victim of a scam.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief on 04/24/26 in the area of Berger St. A juvenile male damaged stakes and tape that was used to cordon off a garden area on the victim’s yard. The damage was valued at $50.00.

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of trespassing during the evening hours. Two unknown males were captured on surveillance entering the building through a door that had a damaged locking mechanism. Abubakarr E. Dumbuya, 50, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for defiant trespassing during an investigation at a business located in the area of Somerset St. Patrol located Dumbuya inside of a business after hours. He also had an outstanding warrant out of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. Dumbuya was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

04/29/2026

A business located in the area of Hamilton St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the morning hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $120.00. The suspect fled the area in a Honda Accord. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Elizabeth Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/08/26. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $21.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Elizabeth Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/16/26. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $111.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Elizabeth Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/15/26. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $135.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Elizabeth Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/19/26. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $18.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Elizabeth Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting on 04/28/26. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $63.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary, theft, and criminal mischief in the area of Easton Ave. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by damaging a door lock. The damage was valued at $100.00. An air bag valued at $1,800.00 was stolen from within.

A Cedar Rapids, IA resident was the victim of a theft on 04/28/26 in the area of Davidson Ave. Personal property valued at $147.00 was stolen by an unknown white male who had access to the victim’s hotel room.

04/30/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of porch piracy on 04/24/26 in the area of Barron Cir. The unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $359.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft between 04/23/26 and 04/30/26 in the area of Franklin Blvd. The victim believed the unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole a debit card and car keys. There were no signs of forced entry.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary in the area of Hopkinson Ln. during the evening hours. Three unknown suspects were captured on surveillance forcing entry into the victim’s residence by breaking the glass to the front door. The residence was unoccupied at the time. Nothing of value was taken.

Edwin I. Okoye, 30, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Hackensack, NJ during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Somerset St. Okoye was processed and released on his own recognizance. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

05/01/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Phillips Rd. during the morning hours. The victim’s motor vehicle was stolen while it was left running and unattended in the driveway. The vehicle was entered stolen into a national database. The vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied, in an outside jurisdiction. The suspect(s) is unknown.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Abbott Rd. during the evening hours. The unknown suspect(s) threw a rock at the victim’s vehicle and residence resulting in broken windows to each. The damage was valued at $3,200.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Maynard Rd. during the evening hours. The unknown suspect(s) broke the windshield to the victim’s vehicle by unknown means. The damage was valued at $1,000.00.

05/02/2026

A business located in the area of Easton Ave. was the victim of a theft during the overnight hours. An unknown black male requested $50.00 worth of gas and fled the area without paying. The suspect vehicle was described as a blue Chrysler 300.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Drake Rd. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) threw rocks at the victim’s vehicle damaging the rear window. The damage was valued at $1,000.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief and harassment in the area of Sapphire Ln. A white male wrote on the victim’s vehicle with erasable marker due to a parking dispute. The suspect was identified and complaint signing procedures were explained to the victim.

A Clark, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and criminal mischief in the area of JFK Blvd. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) broke the victim’s vehicle window to gain entry.
