05/03/2026

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of trespassing during the overnight hours. An unknown black male and black female were captured on surveillance entering the building through a door that had a damaged locking mechanism. Patrol conducted a search of the building with negative results for the suspects.

Freddy L. Moore, 18, of New Brunswick, NJ was arrested for shoplifting during an investigation at a business located in the area of Hamilton St. Moore and a Hispanic juvenile male attempted to exit the store without paying for merchandise valued at $1,480.00 but were stopped by employees. The suspects fled the store on foot and were located by patrol. Moore was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. The juvenile defendant was processed and released to a family member. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A Blairstown, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and criminal mischief in the area of Hamilton St. during the overnight hours. An unknown black male was captured on surveillance entering the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The suspect damaged the ignition, which was valued at $140.00.

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the evening hours. An unknown white male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $57.00. The suspect fled the area on a bike. Patrol canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of trespassing during the overnight hours. An unknown male and female were captured on surveillance entering the building through a door that had a damaged locking mechanism. Patrol conducted a search of the building with negative results for the suspects.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 04/26/26. The victim’s bank account suffered multiple unauthorized transactions totaling $3,600.00. The suspect is possibly known to the victim.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft in the area of Ari Dr. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole $125.00 from within.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft in the area of Village Dr. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole $200.00 and property valued at $100.00. There were no signs of forced entry.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Layne Rd. during an unknown time frame. The unknown suspect(s) damaged the victim’s garage door by unknown means. The damage was valued at $500.00.

A business located in the area of Easton Ave. was the victim of a shoplifting during the morning hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $299.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

05/07/2026

A Manville, NJ resident was the victim of a theft while at a business located in the area of Cottontail Ln. The victim was involved in a mutual physical altercation. During the fight the unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s phone which was valued at $1,000.00. Complaint signing procedures were explained to the parties involved in the assault.

A business located in the area of Somerset St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the overnight hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $4.00. Patrol canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.

Stephen Cavallero, 51, of Parlin, NJ was arrested by Fair Haven PD for an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction. The FTPD took custody of Cavallero and transported him to the Somerset County Jail after he was processed. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Rt. 27 during the afternoon hours. An unknown black male stole the victim’s bike after it was left unattended outside of a business. The bike was valued at $2,000.00.

A business located in the area of Cedar Grove Ln. was the victim of theft of services during the afternoon hours. The unknown suspect(s) were captured on surveillance throwing garbage into the business’s dumpster. The trash was unloaded by the suspect(s) from the back of an unknown pick-up.

Felton Rush Jr., 35, of Monmouth Junction, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction. Rush Jr. was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Appleman Rd. during the evening hours. The unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle also experienced mechanical issues. The value of the damage was unknown at time of report.

05/08/2026

Patrol recovered a stolen motor vehicle from an outside jurisdiction in the area of Phillips Rd. The vehicle was unoccupied and had damage to the door handles and steering column. The suspect(s) are unknown. The reporting jurisdiction was notified of the recovery.

A New Brunswick, NJ resident was the victim of simple assault in the area of Worlds Fair Dr. during the afternoon hours. The victim was delivering alcohol and requested identification from the suspect, described as a black male. The suspect physically assaulted the victim. Complaint signing procedures were explained to the victim.

05/09/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area Phillips Rd. during an unknown time frame. The unknown suspect stole personal property from the victim’s closet.
