Shelby L. Brinkman, 30, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for eluding and assault during an investigation in the area of Nevius Pl. Brinkman fled from police during an attempted motor vehicle stop in the area of Rt. 27. Brinkman was later located and assaulted investigating officers. Brinkman was processed and released on a summons. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

Edguin Ramos-Vasquez, 38, of New Brunswick, NJ was arrested for DWI during a property damage investigation in the area of Elizabeth Ave. during the afternoon hours. Ramos-Vasquez was processed and released with a pending court appearance. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

The suspect also utilized a discarded receipt to return an item he had stolen and received a refund in the amount of $15.00. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of a shoplifting during the morning hours. An unknown male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $25.00. The suspect fled the area on a bike. Patrol canvassed the area with negative results.

Eric Andrews Sr., 58, of Somerset, NJ turned himself in on an outstanding warrant out of our jurisdiction. A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of porch piracy on 06/16/26 in the area of Newport Ave. An unknown white male stole the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $40.00.

Patricia Ann Totten, 54, of Somerset, NJ was issued a summons for defiant trespassing during an investigation at a business located in the area of Somerset St. Totten was previously trespassed from the business at managements request. Responding officers located Totten on the property. “NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A business located in the area of Heller Park Ln. was the victim of a theft on 06/12/26. An unknown black male and black female arrived with what appeared to be legitimate paperwork to retrieve cargo valued at $141,075.00. The recipient reported that they never received the shipment. A GPS tracker showed the shipment at a location in New York rather than Rhode Island, where it was intended to be delivered.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception. The victim believed she was communicating with a famous actor via Facebook. The victim sent $500.00 to an unknown suspect before realizing she was scammed.

A business located in the area of Veronica Ave. was the victim of a burglary and theft between 06/05/26 and 06/19/26. The unknown suspect(s) entered three unlocked company vehicles and stole the EZ-Pass transponders from each. The suspect(s) racked up $1,680.00 in tolls with the stolen transponders.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Harrison St. during the overnight hours. Two unknown suspects were captured on surveillance spray painting the victim’s vehicle. The damage was valued at $300.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary, theft and criminal mischief between 06/18/26 and 06/20/26 in the area of Harrison St. The unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole property valued at $50.00. The suspect(s) also punctured the victim’s tires and spray painted the vehicle. The damage was valued at $410.00.

Travon Washington 30, of Plainfield, NJ was issued a summons for defiant trespassing as a result of a dispute investigation in the area of Hilltop Ln. Bogue, 34, of New Brunswick, NJ was arrested for simple assault and resisting arrest during a noise complaint investigation in the area of Ralph St. Tibbs and Bogue were processed and released on a summons. Additionally, Najear X. Brown, 29, of Somerset, NJ was issued a summons for assault and Sykeema L. Bell, 47, of Somerset, NJ was issued a summons for a noise ordinance violation.
