06/21/2026

Patrol recovered a stolen motor vehicle from an outside jurisdiction in the area of Veronica Ave. The vehicle was unoccupied and the suspect(s) is unknown. The reporting jurisdiction was notified of the recovery.

A business located in the area of Hamilton St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the afternoon hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at approximately $120.00. Patrol canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary, criminal mischief, and theft in the area of Pickering Pl. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) broke the window of the victim’s vehicle to gain entry. A gift card was taken from within. The window was valued at $1,000.00.

The unknown suspect(s) broke the window of the victim’s vehicle to gain entry. Loose change valued at $20.00 was taken from within. The window was valued at $1,000.00.

A residential complex located in the area of Rutgers Blvd. was the victim of trespassing and theft on 06/20/26. An unknown black female and two unknown black males gained entry to a pool area after hours by climbing a fence. The suspects also stole a set of unsecured keys belonging to the complex.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of porch piracy between 06/04/26 and 06/05/26 in the area of Barron Cir. The unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $130.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of porch piracy on 06/10/26 in the area of Barron Cir. A black female stole the victim’s delivered package. The contents were valued at $100.00. The suspect has been identified.

A business located in the area of Rt. 27 was the victim of a shoplifting during the morning hours. An unknown black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $96.00. Patrol canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 05/09/26. The unknown suspect(s) withdrew $726.00 from the victim’s bank account by utilizing fraudulent means.

A business located in the area of Hamilton St. was the victim of a shoplifting during the evening hours. A black male exited the store without paying for merchandise valued at $102.00. The suspect fled the area on foot. The suspect is known to the business as a frequent shoplifter.

06/25/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Miller Ave. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s motor vehicle. The vehicle was entered stolen into a national database. The vehicle was located, unoccupied, in an outside jurisdiction a few days later.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft in the area of Hawthorne Dr. during the overnight hours. An unknown Hispanic male was captured on surveillance stealing the victim’s motor vehicle. The vehicle was located, unoccupied, down the street. It had crashed into a parked vehicle.

A business located in the area of Hamilton St. was the victim of criminal mischief between 06/01/26 and 06/25/26. The unknown suspect(s) broke two windows belonging to the business. The damage was valued at $1,650.00.

A Philadelphia, PA resident was the victim of criminal mischief in the area of Berry St. during the evening hours. The unknown suspect(s) threw a rock at two of the victim’s vehicle windows. The damage was valued at $501.00.

A New Brunswick, NJ resident was the victim of a burglary and theft in the area of Hamilton St. during the afternoon hours. An unknown black male was captured on surveillance entering the victim’s residence while it was unoccupied. Copper pipes were cut and taken from the residence. The copper was valued at $600.00.

06/27/2026

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a theft on 06/26/26 in the area of Kossuth St. An unknown Hispanic female stole potted plants from the victim’s yard. The plants were valued at $50.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of theft by deception on 06/26/26. The victim received a call from an alleged representative of his bank. The unknown suspect convinced the victim that his account was compromised. The suspect gained access to the victim’s account resulting in the victim suffering a loss of $30,000.00.
