FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP MAYOR PHIL KRAMER’S
WAR ON POTHOLES
Mayor Phil Kramer declares war on potholes in Franklin Township! Mayor Kramer is holding a contest for individuals to submit their unique reports of potholes through the Franklin Township website.
The contest will now run through June 30th. Multiple potholes near each other will count as one pothole. The Department of Public Works will verify all reports submitted and will facilitate repairs within two working days depending on weather conditions. Please note county and state roads are not eligible for the contest. Contestants will be entered into a random drawing for each pothole they submit for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to a local Franklin Township restaurant. Two winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to either Eli‘s Fish & Grill or the Twenty/20 Taphouse Restaurant & Bar.
The Township of Franklin will make three attempts to contact challenge winners. Winners will be given one week to respond. After a week, the Township will select the next eligible entrant. The lucky winners will be announced at the Franklin Township Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3rd.
“I want to get people involved and I want to wipe out our potholes. Potholes are expensive in two ways-they damage your car and they lead to more rapid deterioration of roads. I want people to know they can help, so I'm personally funding the pothole contest which is at the heart of the Mayor's War on Potholes,” stated Mayor Kramer.
