SOMERSET NJ – On Saturday, August 24, 2019 the 48th annual Week of the People back-to-school event was held from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Naaman Williams Park, 1 Matilda Ave, Somerset, NJ. This FREE, family-friendly program provided educational essentials to children grades K-12 as well as information and resources for parents, provided by local community partners.  The event theme is “Community in Unity” to reinforce collaboration, youth engagement and positive change by bringing local families together before the start of a new school year.  In addition to informative presentations, the day included entertainment by township youth and other talented artists presented by Ms. Angela “Coach” James.
