On July 9, 2024, the Franklin Township Council adopted the Franklin Township Community Energy Plan, prepared by the Franklin Township Environmental Commission. This Plan documents community-wide energy consumption in the municipality, and provides strategic recommendations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve energy, and generate clean, sustainable energy for our residents and businesses.

The Franklin Township Community Energy Plan was completed through a grant from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and technical assistance from Sustainable Jersey.
