ALARM SYSTEM REGISTRATION

ABOUT ALARM SYSTEM REGISTRATIONS

Per Franklin Township Ordinance Chapter 85-8, all alarm devices must be registered within 30 days of installation or activation with a central monitoring center. Failure to register a new alarm device or new service with a central monitoring company within 20 days of receipt of written notice to register the alarm shall be deemed a violation of this chapter and subject to the permittee to penalties as outline in § 85-13 of this chapter. FIRST TIME ALARM REGISTRATION

  1. Complete the online application. If you are unable to complete the application online, the form may be picked up the Franklin Township Police Department Records Bureau.

  2. Print the application that you submitted.

  3. Mail in or return the completed application to the Franklin Township Police Department Records Bureau, 495 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873, with a check or money order made out to "Franklin Township Police Department." We cannot accept cash. This is a one time fee.

Residential Alarm Fee $25.00

Commercial Alarm Fee $50.00

UPDATE OR CHANGE ALARM THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN REGISTERED

Complete the online Update/Changes Alarm Registration Form. No payment is required.
