Citizens Academy 18+

Participants in our Citizens Academy, designed for those aged 18 and above, will gain a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of our Police Department. From insights into day-to-day operations to a deeper understanding of the police profession, attendees will emerge with valuable knowledge on how they can actively contribute to the safety of our community.

Throughout the Citizens Academy, participants will have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with various officers specializing in Patrol, Traffic Safety, Detective Bureau, Identification Bureau, Internal Affairs, Use of Force, K9, and Emergency Management. These dedicated professionals will share their expertise, offering firsthand insights into their respective areas and fostering a direct connection between the community and law enforcement.

Citizens Police Academy 55+

Recognizing the importance of engaging our seasoned community members, the Citizens Police Academy for those aged 55 and above offers a tailored program to address the specific interests and concerns of this demographic. It's a unique chance for older adults to connect with the Police Department and deepen their understanding of its operations.  Participants will have the opportunity to meet different officers, who will present on various topics including Patrol, Traffic Safety, Detective Bureau, Identification Bureau, Internal Affairs, Use of Force, K9 and Emergency Management.

Youth Academy - 8th-12th Graders

Our commitment to community outreach extends to the younger generation with the Youth Academy tailored for 8th to 12th graders. This program aims to educate and inspire the leaders of tomorrow, fostering a positive relationship between law enforcement and our youth.

Public Safety Cadet Program Age 14-20

For young adults between the ages of 14 and 20, the Public Safety Cadet Program provides a structured and mentorship-driven experience. This initiative aims to guide and support the development of future leaders in law enforcement, instilling a sense of responsibility and community service.
