ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Blue Envelope Program was created to facilitate and assist both law enforcement and motorists with autism spectrum disorder during motor vehicle traffic stops. The program provides motorists (free of charge) with a blue envelope which would contain essential information and credentials of the motorist along with instructions for law enforcement officers that would assist them during a traffic stop.

HOW TO OBTAIN ONE

To obtain a Blue Envelope for yourself or a family member, visit the Franklin Township Police Department Headquarters at 495 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ, or the Franklin Township Police Department Community Relations Bureau at 935 Hamilton St., Somerset, NJ. (Please note: pickup at the Community Relations Bureau is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM only.)
