What is Therapeutic Recreation?

While our recreation programs are inclusive and accommodations are made for disabled citizens to participate without structurally changing the program or activity, Therapeutic Recreation programs are different in that they are designed and adapted to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our participants. This allows the recreation department to have symmetry of both inclusion services alongside specialized therapeutic recreation programs providing an all-encompassing recreational offering to our community.
