Stay Informed and Help Protect Your Family and Community

This impacts all of Franklin Township

Without public participation, this project will likely be approved.

Our goal is to increase awareness and participation in the community to help fight this proposed industrial compressor station complex that will have two 50’ smokestacks which will emit tons of airborne toxins in Franklin Township for many decades to come. The Northeast Supply Enhancement Project (NESE) – FERC Docket No. CP17-101 - also proposes to construct a 23.49 mile pipeline across the Raritan Bay using 15,350 acres of seafloor workspace & disturbing 117 acres of seafloor.

Volunteer to have a voice and make an impact!

Help spread the word through local groups and organizations. If you are a member of a group/ organization and would like to become a liaison for that group, please let us know.

We’ll help you get up to speed, understand the issues, provide handouts, talking points, petitions, etc. We are also willing to attend gatherings to help spread the word.

  • make calls to elected officials about your concerns & to alert people about special events where their participation is needed – such as the upcoming Hearings to be scheduled by NJDEP & FERC

  • attend events and meetings to distribute literature, discuss concerns, and get signatures on petitions or form letters so that other concerned citizens can weigh-in and be notified of updates

  • engage on social media (Facebook / Twitter)

  • write op-eds / letters to the editor to Franklin on-line news and other news media

  • make signs

  • speak to groups such as local clubs & homeowner associations about this opposition

  • recruit new members for the task force

  • organize locally-based discussion groups to generate specific actions, participation at events, communication with legislators, and/or outreach
