To work in unison with the Township Council and Township staff to offer continued service to the community with the utmost professionalism, efficiency, and as courteously as possible. We are dedicated to innovative processes and continued preservation of the Township’s history.
LEGISLATIVE PROCESS: Responsible for all municipal legislative processes. This includes Ordinances and Resolutions, contracts, agreements, agenda preparation, official Minutes of the Township Council and legal advertising.
ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATION: Responsible for the management of all municipal and school elections. Administers voter registration and mail-in ballot applications.
VITAL STATISTICS: Processes and maintains marriage and civil union licenses, birth and death certificates, and domestic partnership certificates.
CODIFICATION: Maintains and oversees updates to the Franklin Township Municipal Code.
BOARDS AND COMMITTEES: Coordinates the administration and appointments to various boards and committees appointed by the Mayor and Council. Citizen Leadership Forms are distributed and accepted through our office.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT: Manages the retention and retrieval of all official documents in compliance with the State of New Jersey Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.
DOCUMENT IMAGING RETRIEVAL: Have implemented and continue to achieve a document imaging program for electronic records management and retrieval.
OATHS AND FILINGS: Administers oaths, receives petitions, claims, lawsuits and official notices. Official Notary Public services to the general public.
LICENSES AND PERMITS: The Township Clerk’s Office processes various licenses and permits which are routinely used by the public, including, but not limited to, Special Event Permits, Parade Permits, Raffle and Bingo Licenses, and Taxi and Limo Licenses.
