Franklin Township Youth Council (FTYC) is a volunteer community service organization staffed and governed by youth, ages 12-18, based in Franklin Township, NJ (Somerset County). The Youth Council's goal is to develop and support community youth and charitable projects through its various sub-committees.
In addition to developing community programming, members participate in local events as volunteers in order to improve and strengthen their community through service. Diversity Committee- The Diversity Committee is dedicated to creating a community that celebrates the cultures and traditions that Franklin Township has to offer. Through youth programs and events, we bring our Franklin community and our global community together.
Education Committee- The Education Committee strives to create educational community programming that reaches beyond the classroom. Through fun and innovative workshops and events, this committee takes learning to a creative new level.
Environmental Committee- In the Environmental Committee, the Earth is our business. Our youth programming focuses on teaching kids about the global impact that they can make in caring for our world and keeping it healthy for generations to come.
Health & Wellness- The Health & Wellness Committee believes that a healthy you is a better you. This is why we make it our mission to create programming that promotes balanced healthy living throughout the community.
Therapeutic Committee- The goal of the Therapeutic committee is to engage all members of our community and tailor our events towards helping special needs and other undeserved groups.
Youth & Community Committee- Our committee focuses on creating programming that relates to youth and community concerns, issues, and well-being. We organize events and workshops that benefit the Franklin community as a whole.
